Good Evening Eastern North Carolina Democrats!

My name is Samuel Johnson, and I am your Eastern Regional Director for the Young Democrats of North Carolina. I am the current sitting President of the Young Democrats of Onslow County, and I am excited to be able to reach out to every single one of you tonight. Little introduction from me, I was born and raised in Richlands, North Carolina.

I won’t take up too much of your time tonight, I just wanted to send out an email letting everyone know that YDNC is in expansion mode, and we are fired up and ready to go for 2020. Young Democrats are classified as any Democrat between the ages of 18 and not achieving the age of 37. County Chapters may consist of 5 or more Active Members, and we can also do Multi-County Chapters with your neighboring counties if you are not able to get 5 Members.

We also have options for At-Large membership with YDNC.

Please let me know if you have any Young Democrats in your county, and I will be more than glad to reach out to them, or you can have them reach out to me. I can setup a Zoom call if needed as well with any further questions. YDNC Executive Board has committed to growing to 60% of NC Counties with an Active Charter or At-Large Member. We have multiple caucuses within the organization; African-American Caucus, Labor Caucus, LGBTQ+ Caucus, Rural Caucus, and Women’s Caucus. Young Voters are the future of America, and we need to make sure they have the support they need.

I look forward to working with each and everyone of you to start or restart a Young Democrat chapter within your County Party. I know we can Turn NC Blue, and grow not only YDNC, we can grow your County Party. North Carolina Democrats are extraordinary folks and we have the drive and the will to get the job done.
