Voting on Election Day – No Voter ID Required

Some people just love the Election Day experience. We get that. There’s nothing quite like going into that booth on a Tuesday and being given that fancy “I Voted” sticker when you leave.

Election Day for the 2022 Primary election in North Carolina is Tuesday, November 8.

Polls will be open from 6:30AM until 7:30PM.  Voters will not be required to show photo ID for the November 8, 2022 election. In a December 31, 2019 order, a federal district court blocked North Carolina’s voter photo ID requirement from taking effect. The injunction will remain in place until further order of the court.

To find your polling place, use the voter registration lookup form on the NCSBE website.
