Craven County Democratic Party. Craven County, North Carolina
From the Chair

Happy New Year Fellow Democrats,

I came across an interesting question the other day. "What is the most important thing we can do this year to further Dr. Martin Luther King’s vision for America?" My immediate thoughts were—-vote. No, not just vote, vote Democratic and work hard to elect Democrats. What are your thoughts as Democrats in response to this question? I have posted this same question on the Craven County Democratic Party Facebook page. Please use this link and give us your response. (If you are not, use this link to become one a friend).

This is such an incredibly important election year and, yes, I know that we say that every go around, but I feel a real urgency about this election. The Republican Congress and the Republican Legislature are determined to undo all the good that Democrats have accomplished for the people of this country and state. They do not care about how many people will be harmed by their narrow agenda. The importance of electing our Democrats at all levels cannot be overstated. So in the coming year there will be many times that I will come to you asking for your volunteer help and your financial support to make sure we elect Democrats.

Communication will be especially important in this election year and we will need to be able to reach as many Democrats as possible. You can help by asking your fellow Democrats if they are on the e-mail list to receive the Craven County Democrat (PDF). If they are not, ask if you can send in their e-mail addresses so they can be in the election year communication loop. Send their names and e-mail addresses to me at rparnell43@suddenlink.net.

Thank you in advance for all that you will do in this coming year!
