North Carolina Coordinated Campaign Field Organizer
About the Opportunity
The North Carolina Democratic Party (NCDP) is seeking Field Organizers (FOs) for the 2026 Coordinated Campaign. FieldOrganizers should be passionate, hardworking individuals who are committed to building the grassroots turnout operation needed to win elections up and down the ballot for Democrats in 2026.
Organizers will be responsible for various tasks focused on community engagement and capacity building. Organizers should be high energy, outgoing, enthusiastic, and willing to work long hours. This is a full-time position based in assigned turf within NorthCarolina and requires regular in-person work with staff, volunteers, and partners. This position reports to the Regional Organizing Director.
Duties and Responsibilities
● Build grassroots support by reaching out to and persuading voters directly through door-to-door canvassing, phonebanking, and other direct voter contact (DVC) tactics.
● Recruit, manage, and train a diverse team of volunteers in designated turfs across North Carolina.
● Staff and or attend events that include but are not limited to: in-person canvasses, phonebanks, and community meetings.
● Help create a program that reflects the needs of local communities in your assigned organizing region.
● Other responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills, Abilities, and Experience
● Flexible, adaptable, and solutions-oriented.
● Ability to track and report data in a timely, consistent, and accurate manner.
● Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
● Proven ability to create a motivating, inclusive, and accountable team culture.
● Fluency with NGP VAN and familiarity with modern data and digital organizing tools are a plus.
● Willingness and ability to work full-time in a field office and travel within the assigned region.
● Work hours will vary from standard office hours and include weekends.
● Access to a reliable vehicle and cell phone.
● Registered Democrat.
Classification
Bargaining unit position eligible for overtime pay. Temporary position. The final dateof employment will be 11/15/2026.
Salary & Benefits
The pay for this position starts at $17.00/hour and will work starting at 40 hours per week and should expect hours to increase as we approach the election with notice given. With overtime, pay per month may range between $4,250 - $4,562.50.
This role includes unlimited paid time off, subject to supervisor approval. Employees also receive paid holidays, paid sick leave, and various other forms of paid leave.
