Message from Board of Elections

ALERT TO VOTERS: There is a lot of misinformation circulating about elections.  Voters should not believe what they see and read online, etc. about elections and voting.  Any text, email, phone call, or mail you receive that references absentee voting, ballots, in-person voting, etc. are mostly scams. DO NOT CLICK or RESPOND to these attempts to confuse you and obtain your information.
Names of those requesting absentee ballots are not published and illegal to provide.  Ballots are sent only if requested properly by the county board of elections and will start being mailed September 4. There will be in-person voting at early voting (One-Stop) starting Oct. 15 and ending Oct. 31 and on Election Day, Nov. 3, at your precinct starting at 6:30 am and ending at 7:30 pm.
County Boards of elections do not send anyone anything unless the person has requested it from the county board of elections.
TO BE SAFE: TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND EDUCATE YOURSELF ON THE ELECTION LAWS, PROCEDURES, ETC. WHERE YOU LIVE AND BE PREPARED BEFORE YOU VOTE!  GET THE FACTS FROM THE RIGHT SOURCES (YOUR COUNTY BOARDS OF ELECTIONS (Craven Co. Elections www.cravenvote.com) AND STATE BOARD OF ELECTIONS (www.ncsbe.gov))-DON’T BELIEVE WHAT IS NOT TRUE!

Thanks,
